The Super DUPER Progressive Party and Atoning for my Sins

Tl;dr: Post here if you want a crack at tuning/modding this thing, also post here if you’re interested in winning it for a deserving new player.

    Original Thread from last year:

    https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/m...lzmas-giveaway

Alright fellas, I need to apologize. I was the last modder for this group project and failed to follow through.

No excuses, I kept it for too long into April convincing myself I had time to tinker the last rough edges out. By the time I was ready to pass it on, my mom’s health cratered and that absorbed my attention for the rest of the year.

I want to see this through to completion and atone for my f***ups, so I’m adding a revvy and $100 paint money for the final recipient.

Also I remember KMDPB volunteering to do the anno, and I’ll chip for the anno if needed since the economy has shittered over the last year since he offered.

My contributions are the sconi feedneck and Millenium frame.

As it stands now, the marker struggles to hit 270fps even with a red mainspring. I’m convinced it needs a bolt with orings to compensate for the body cut, or maybe have the body/valve orifice opened up.

Also, the Millenium frame needs a bit of tweaking to be reliable, probably needs a slightly different sear.

Post here if you want a crack at finishing this, post here if you know someone new to the sport who would appreciate it.

Also post here to admonish me for my sins, this thing has been a tell-tale heart thumping under my floorboards.

If we're keeping the shorter bolt on it, I can mill out the rear bit sticking up, I left it there to hold the bolt, but it might get more in the way than anything else now 😜

I like a challenge and I wouldnt mind taking a crack at it if no one more capable is able to. I do not, however, have a deserving new player. I would only be an intermediary before hopefully sending it to anodizing and then to its final stop, where ever that may be.

Glad you’re getting this going again. Looking forward to where it ends up

            Status update:
            • Purchased a safety and modified it to work with the millennium frame.
            • Purchased a empire barrel kit with 6 bore backs of different sizes to hopefully help with velocity issues. I have not gassed it up yet to test that theory.
            • Installed a stop for the trigger to prevent overtravel of the trigger.
            • Modified trigger sear catch to alleviate the issue of it not catching sometimes.
            • Made a new rear cap pin from stainless and gave it a 5-40 set screw to lock it in.
I will post more updates when they happen.

Items still on the agenda are assembly and fitment, and velocity issues, test first with new barrel and then test adding some o-rings to the bolt as suggested as the next course of action.

A question for KMDPB, are you willing to still ano this marker and its barrels when its complete? If so, do you want to do the surface finishing or do you want me to glass bead blast it to give the new / modified surfaces a consistent finish?

Im still willing to anodize it. If someone would be willing to disassemble before hand and reassemble after ano that would make it much easier to fit into my schedule. I can handle the finishing work, but if you want to bead blast it that's fine by me

That would be great. Thank you. I can finish up, put a dust finish on everything, send just the parts for ano to you, get it back, assemble, ship to whomever next (either to recipient or to who is going to do the givaway/poll/decision making which would be best).

I will get in contact with you when the parts are ready.
