Read the manual! You can learn a lot by reading a manual

Don't believe that random kid at the field or shop owner that says tippmanns and spyders are not acceptable markers. They are great starters and can teach the basics of maintenance

Also. Don't hold onto the first tippmann/spyder you purchase for too long. While great starters they have their limitations and it's typically best to move on to a different platform if you find yourself wanting more performance or features rather than trying to get it out of the tippmann/spyder

• Used gear is usually just as good as new at 1/2 the cost.
• Dow 33 grease can be purchased in 5.3 oz tubes, pretty much a lifetime supply, for $53 on amazon or from other suppliers https://a.co/d/gUuk10V
• Putting dow33 grease and pneumatic oil in utility syringes allows for precision application.
• Trail running shoes work great as recreation play paintball shoes.
• The best paintball marker is the one that doesn't break down.
• Compression knee sleeves really help old knees survive the day.

Cuda, i agree. I should have said new player advise. I personally was trying to tune in an autococker and a ult kit on the automag kast weekend and neither marker made it through a game, lol. Paintball wouldnt be the same without the challenge!

Play fast and loose. Life is too short to not enjoy. You get good shots on people and they get good shots on me. Plus when new kids fear you but also get to shoot you out makes them feel good about the game and their skill.

Good advice. It really does work well and really boosts the spirits of the new players. I love hearing the "retellings" of the last game from new/rental players that are having a good time. It is so exciting and dramatic sounding the way they describe it!
