Paintball bar top

This is probably a long shot but i'm wondering if anyone has sealed paintballs in polyurethane? And if so how did it turn out?

Anyway here's the backstory...
I moved into a bigger house last May and now that things are mostly unpacked I'm getting ready to build myself a bar for the basement.
I'd like to do one of those clear polyurethane tops with something that i share a connection with sealed inside, so i'm thinking of sealing paintballs in the bar top.
I've seen other bar tops with things like coins sealed inside but i'm wondering if the paint's shell and color would hold up being sealed away like that.

They will eventually degrade I wouldn’t. Might look cool for a lil while. But I doubt the shell will hold up long enough for the epoxy to set and even after it probably won’t look all that good with time. You could probably get the look with by painting the inside of the plastic refillable ones but that sounds like a lot of work.

What about doing a test run with smaller size table, maybe a cutting board or foregrip.

UV light will be the death of it. I say try it, but suspending the paint in the epoxy will be tough.

I'm also concerned about Cure time. epoxy makes heat as it cures..... I'm not entirely sure how well the shell and fill would hold up to that.

I tried sealing splatter it still can be chipped out but it is holding up for over 25 year so far
the splatter used to be white fill you can feel it but the color is almost gone
A whole paintball may hold up better

You would like have to do it in layers, pour a thin layer letting it set, place some balls pour more epoxy let it set and so on until you get the thickness and pattern you want.

watched a few videos that was done that way. One was actually a guy painting koi fish, plants, turtles and other fish. He did in layers like that to give what he painted depth, like you were looking at a fish tank from the top. Came out really great. Anothers have done the same using other objects, but I have not seen paintballs.

Maybe you search YouTube and message some guys on there to get their thoughts. They just might want to try it out themselves.

Nerf rival balls could work also, they come in multiple colors.

Oh you could also put in some barrel old barrel plugs, condoms, barrels, frames, and grips.

What about that plastic "round ball" that first strike sells? I think its made of polystyrene and looks just like a paintball. I think its filled with a powder. Would probably hold up a lot better than a traditional ball:
