    Leftover building materials means.....

    ......I built a table.

Huge picnic table made from glulam's I had leftover from building my workshop. Sucker is around 400lbs, so once I set the level on the feet, it's gonna live there for a very long time.
16' long, 36" wide and sitting on 30" steel legs. Also has four 8' benches to seat everyone.

First party with the new table is an Oktoberfest Potluck this Saturday with about 20 friends coming over. I'll post up more pics with it loaded with guests!

The writing on the table is from our wedding symbol and logo, it means "a thousand glasses"

        That's awesome!

Is uh... your deck going to be ok with all the Beer dancing that will happen on top of that table?

I've grossly overloaded the deck with a 12' kiddie pool before. It creaked and groaned but still feels solid underfoot.

If people danced on the table I'd be more concerned about them falling off it, than the table or deck failing.
