My daughter & her husband bought tickets to see him last Saturday so me & my wife decided to tag along. I didn’t know much about him beyond being a ventriloquist & apparently extremely popular. I like a good comedy show but i have to say i just didn’t find him very funny at all. Is it just me?

I saw one show years ago that I thought was hilarious. Didn’t watch much of him after that. Some of his recent stuff got way into politics and I looked elsewhere for entertainment.
I’ve always enjoyed Tim Hawkins for comedy. It’s clean and still manages to give my abs a workout from all the laughing.Originally posted by Chuck E Ducky:

I dunno. If you really look into his characters, he's cringe at best. I'm honestly amazed the kids haven't canceled him.

Or maybe not. Different strokes.
And Tim Hawkins is a good one in my book. A comedian who shows that you can have a clean show and still be funny.Last edited by un2xs; 03-22-2023, 09:43 PM.Comment

The people around me were dying laughing but, honestly, i was pretty bored most of the time. I won’t say i didn’t chuckle a time or two but overall i just didn’t enjoy it that much. And when he brought Peanut out the whole coliseum erupted in applause but i found him to be borderline annoying.Comment

I remember seeing him at the start of his career on tv specials and I bought his first couple of DVDs and saw him live once years ago which was hilarious. He was definitely better years ago, now it's just getting very repetitive and stale. Unfortunately he doesn't use certain dummies all that much anymore and it's a real shame because those are some of his best characters. I'm to the point now where I don't even bother watching him.Comment
