    Remake Barbarella?

    Say it ain't so!
BARBARELLA Is About To Change Everything (youtube.com)

I'd think about leaving this world if this went Woke.

Edgar Wright has never made a bad movie and has a real love for classic film, I'd defintly expect him to do it right. Last Night in Soho is basically a love letter to giallo films.

Might be better than the original as it won't have that turncoat Hanoi Jane in it

They still exist, ladies and gentlemen. It’s been over 50 years and these people still exist. They can’t all be be 75 years old either so that means someone is actually raising kids and training them to hate Barbarella because she protested a disaster of a war that nobody should have accepted…half a century ago.

Look around. You lost. Barrbarella won. Knock your dads chip off your shoulder and form your own.

I’m open to the idea of a remake, because I think it’s theoretically possible to make a better movie than the first one. I doubt they will, but I’d love it if they did.

What does that mean? The original was pretty friggn left wing. In a pacifist future a sexy lady bangs her way across the cosmos for peace and justice, her enemies overcome mostly by their own hubris or the hero’s love. Barbarella may be the most space commie compatible movie there is, as a space commie I know.

The right wing one is Zardoz. Maybe you’re thinking of that one. It’s the one where God barfs guns.
