That is on top of a super volcano. If it erupts were all toast. Mother nature is a mean woman when she wants to be. We recently had a tornado touch down here in upstate New York and the news showed a rainbow after the event,so she has a sick sense of humor too.

I wouldn't get too excited for the end of life as we know it just yet. Geyser activity is caused by heat from the volcano, but not related to the actual volcanic activity.
