I've had that in The Definitive Guide to Paintball in the Movies for a while now.

It's a Spyder Sonix inside a "Banzai Water Blaster" shell. I speculate they made it that bright and outlandish to stave off any connection to an "office shooting" or "school shooting". Can you imagine how that same scene would have played out with something like a First Strike T-15?
