Sorry, but I have sympathy for tarantulas. In high school they would walk through the hallways between classes.
In boy scouts, we would hunt for them and collect them. We then sold them at the harvest festivals.
Tied a pretty ribbon to the spider, the other end to a bright gold safety pin. Attach the pin to your shirt and let it crawl around your shoulder.
The scout troop got $5 each for them and we sold hundreds of them each year.
Then I moved to New England, where they don't have tarantulas. I was shocked to find them in pet shops with a $50 price tag.
