Including forum handles in ebay sale pics

Does anyone do this as a means to steer people to your listings off of ebay to avoid fees, but use ebay's platform to get exposure/awareness of what you're selling?

Has ebay ever gotten wise to it?

There are those who put their name in the description along with a helpful reminder to check MCB.

I’d imagine that would quickly earn a ban. It would be nice to pay less somewhere other than eBay.

No one on MCB is gunna find your stuff on ebay before they find it on MCB. So just post here first.

Ebay is a good platform. Use it when you need it. I rarely post paintball stuff there. And they wont pull an ad unless u have an @ symbol pretty much.

I've never seen someone get banned from ebay. They don't work like that. They just pull listings.

I've had 4 pb sales in the last 2 weeks, 3 of which messaged me on here after finding my stuff on ebay first to close off ebay.

But it helped in regards to awareness of my products, some of which hadn't a single bite in months

But, their content moderation picks up on attempts to close off-platform really efficiently now, so it's impossible to have a conversation on ebay directly

Generally I list on eBay only after it doesn't sell here... And even then I leave my post up.
