2 for 1: Coffee and cheese Pairing

    Have you experimented this yourself?

They have done it for beer, wine and why not a new kind of warm beverage.

You can Google it and our European’s friends already speaking about it.

Surprisingly I liked my experience. I also got to show it to my group of managers at a Starbucks Meeting. The feedback was good only a single one didn’t like the pairing in about 10 peoples.

So I did my research and tested Starbucks Sumatra coffee and our limited edition anniversary dark roast blend currently available. I have chosen a local cheese Sœur Angèle, a mix of cow and sheep’s that is like a Brie in its creaminess and a Camembert for its sharper flavor because of the sheep and a mushroom taste similar to Camembert.

Great pairing with the truffle notes of the coffee and the cream softened the boldness while making the cheese stand out.

Have fun experimenting this and add here!

My favorite cheese to pair with coffee is a chocolate donut.

but a latte is already espresso and hot milk so changing the milk for cheese isn’t too big of a step. Makes sense

Id try it. Though, I won't likely make a trip just to pair a select cheese with my coffee.

Maybe Ill put an american single slice in my next cup.

I love it when people think outside the box. How would we ever have gotten that coffee beans from that cat-like creatures poop without people thinking outside the box? Me I just drink coffee for the jolt. Taste is not a concern. I think this picture sums up my coffee and cheese liking

I'm a big fan of sharp cheese and espresso, and sweeter, more mild cheese and lighter roast American coffee. A cafe near me offers coffee & charcuterie with different recommended pairings and that's been fun to try.

I will openly admit I thought this was a joke thread at first.

As a blue collar machinist that requires maybe a pot or two a day, I couldn't care less about fancy brews. I've tried every methodology of brew commonly available from drip to Aeropress, and it all tastes like bean squeezins. I like Folgers plenty. I couldn't imagine pairing cheese with coffee...

        But, y'all do y'all. <3

          Manchego and an Ethiopian espresso.

I'm firmly able to appreciate the function of terrible hotel coffee, but it's nice to get a lighter, sharper flavor. Also nice to round it out with a chaser of salty, nutty cheese.
