I'm usually more of a bourbon fan but my hand grabbed the Japanese whisky tonight and enjoying a highball right now.

Have never enjoyed rum or hard liquors, and typically stick to IPA’s, but do like ginger beer. However, got introduced to a “Dark and Stormy” a few weeks back and it’s been my go-to. Just poured one a moment ago:

Were you in Bermuda? I honeymooned there and discovered this delicious concoction a couple years back. The Rum Swizzle was another one, but it didn't stick. This one I've had many times since. A solid alternative for when a mint julep or mojito isn't available.

No, haven’t been, is on my bucket list, but the friend that introduced me to them had been last year, and said it was almost all he drank while there. I’m definitely a convert now.

Finished my old scout and opened my Talisker Port Ruige (just pruchased) last night.

I remember Taliskers being more briny and not particularly smoky. This one is clearly smoky but not heavily so like most of my islay stuff (though most of my smoky stuff would be Corryvrecken, Ueigedail, Octomore, Cairdeas, Port Charlotte MRC:01)
