My wife has released her first book recently. She's written a few but this is the first that she has published. It falls more under wife/girlfriend territory (dark fantasy romance) but if you know someone into that genre, it would be greatly appreciated if you could share a link. She put a lot of effort into this and there is zero AI. It's called The Reaping of Melody Kane. Here is the brief synopsis:

A female serial killer and her Reaper make an unlikely match. But when Death unexpectedly calls for her soul, it draws the pair into a mystery that might bind them together only to tear them apart.
