With chords, strumming should be done more with the elbow than anything else. So don't worry to much about that.

As for fretting strings, yeah that takes some getting used to. Try your best to fret the string by pushing directly down on the string with your fingertip, not where your fingerprint is, if that makes sense.

Fretting chords is rough as fuck in the beginning, especially on an acoustic it takes some time to build up those muscles. One thing of note is to make sure you're using the right fingers for the right notes, if you're using tabs(which you probably are) sometimes its helpful to hit the YouTube and see how some people do it live. Looking at numbers on a sheet isn't always the most intuitive.

Finding a classical guitar teacher in the near future. I dont think i can teach myself to play like some can. Definitely need help. But yes fretting is tough just because i got weak non-guitar player hands.
