Hey y'all, my Soundcore headphones took a nasty digger and now my left side doesn't work. Curious if anyone has any recommendations for a new pair? I like noise cancelling, bluetooth headphones with a built-in mic. I will mostly be using these for around the house and work so they don't need to be super sporty. I am an avid music enthusiast, but I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile so I don't need anything top of the line, just want it to sound decent.

Im mainly replying to see other suggestions as I am interested.
For daily wearers, I wear shox bone condition headphones. I love and swear by them. They are sportier than you likely need, I forget they are on my head all the time. Ip55 rated so you can sweat on them and or get rained without issue.
They last 10 hours on a charge. They sound better than I figured they would. They sound even better with ear plugs ( thats the noise canceling feature).
I like them for the fact that I can wear them with no ear plugs and jam out while still hearing the dangers of life coming my way.

I wear bone conducting headphones while riding my bike. It allows me to listen to music while still being able to hear cars. -

Ill add, I can wear them under my paintball mask. I had them on and forgot about them one day. I put my mask on and played a game with out realizing I was wearing them. It got me thinking. I wonder how well I could play with some motivational music in my head. I haven't tried it yet as I play in thick woods typically. I think a game of speedball with some rage music in your head may be beneficial.

I am a big fan of QuietComfort 35, I have several series I and II and find them comfortable, good battery life and reasonably good microphones give they are integrated into the ear cup vs. being a boom mic. So Bose stopped selling them last year on their website but you can still find them for sale (NOS). Bose is also still selling Factory Renewed units as well ($199) which will have a factory warranty. Just be warned Bose only sells factory renewed products through their own website and if you are lucky enough their owned stores. Factory Renewed or Refurbished Bose products you find on Amazon and other retail websites ARE NOT factory refurbished by Bose but are being refurbished by other 3rd party houses and Bose does not license out this type of work so no warranty.
The Quiet Comfort 45 is the latest version of the QuietComfort line from Bose. I do not have any direct experience with them but by design and manufacture they are the next progression in the product. Noise Cancelling 700 is a completely different design and lineage. Noise Cancelling 700 are basically "Smart" headphones and require use of the Bose Music Application to leverage all of its abilities. I have a couple of these as well and use them regularly. The noise cancelling is great, mic is good but I do not find them as comfortable as QuietComfort 35 (45) to wear and they are more complicated to use/setup. I prefer my QuietComfort 35 over Noise Cancelling 700 because they are just simple Bluetooth Noise Cancelling headphones, I do not need a lot of "Smart" stuff out of my headphones.

If you can try one on maybe this would work as a much more affordable alternative Sennheiser HD 350BT Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless Headphone

I’ve had the Sony WH-H900N headphones for a few years and they’re still running great. Had to replace the foam ears after a couple years of near daily use, but I think they were like $15 to replace.
Looks like quite a few decent options on the used market for these under $100.Comment

Go for best range and battery life reviews. The new stuff is just as good if not more useful. I’m finding my self leaning towards the “ good enough “ camp more and more because it’s affordable. You can go all the way to $2,000 per ear with in ear monitors and that’s just the drivers. No receivers. I work specifically in production Sound for film and high end corporate AV. I’d also suggest purchasing 3 different brand pairs, trying, and returning the 2 you like least. There are so many snake oil peppermint earbuds it’s not even funny. I myself am guilty of purchasing a brick in the box from a Safeway parking lot because the guy told me it was HD! I was young and dumb and blew my entire $300 savings account only to find out that “bonafide” isn’t really a technical term. Lol.Comment

They have great battery life, are comfortable, have ANC. They block out enough noise without the ANC on that I can't hear people on the shuttle ride from the parking lot to work. In the past I used the ANC feature while mowing the lawn but found that the headphones themselves block out enough noise that it wasn't really needed.

Aiaiai cans are amazing. They are also modular, so you can build your own, and if you don't like a part or something breaks, just replace it instead of buying a new pair. Even the off-the-shelf versions are modular, so you can still swap parts around. I have a pair of the on-ear and they are super comfortable. They have a cable with a mic, but no wireless mic. Drivers come in either a punchy (bassy) or flat response curve.

I get Jabra stuff for work, and I'm reasonably impressed. The Elite 7 Pro have been the most reliable connection of any Bluetooth earbud I've used, and the noise canceling is good enough for woodworking (but I usually double up). One big bonus is the ability to do two phones simultaneously (work phone and personal, or phone and laptop).
They make some over the ear and on the ear stuff that gets good reviews but I haven't tried them. I'm considering picking up some of their headphones (second hand locally) before my kids get home on break, so my speakerphone (speak 510, also really effective) doesn't get them in the background. High quality stuff that's typically a bit less than Bose or Sony, and better then Beats or the other popular brands.Comment

I mean if we are gonna necro the thread, I really like the Sennheiser Momentum 4. They aren't quite as good as Sennheiser HD-600s, but they aren't far off and with noise cancellation and bluetooth and no need for an external DAC they are about as good as it gets IMO. Especially if you like a "flat" sound profile, not like ultra enhanced bass response like some brands do. Honestly I am very surprised how rarely I feel the need to use my wired headphones now that I have these.
