DNR's newest album has some of the coolest productions I've ever heard. It's a heavy trap/trap metal sound but there's a wide variety of samples used from everything from kpop to western. This production's a little more run of the mill, but there's something about the air vocal samples that just does it for me.

Slaine is one of my favorite artists, is a stand up guy and has one hell of a story to tell. This song was one of the last songs he wrote while in the depths of addiction. Since then he has completely turned his life around, and while he's still an active musician, he also helps run an addiction treatment facility in Boston. There was a time in my life that I listened to this song every day.

Very happy to share it. Slaine is an awesome artist and a really good dude. He's actually got an album dropping this Friday if I'm not mistaken!

Ok, looking for a recommendation or two if you guys have one.

Of all things, I've been listening to sea shantys as of late. The longest John's, wellermen, the dreadnoughts. Recently came across sail north and really like them the only problem is they really only have about one album worth of songs all released as singles.

First off, if you like sea shantys and haven't heard sail north go give them a listen and second, any recommendations of stuff in the sea shanty realm I should check out?

Nope, not familiar this (I assume) flavor of Les Claypool side project. I'll check it out!

Edit: Okay yeah I jive with this. I like Ghost of a Sabre-tooth Tiger so this is an easy fusion for me. Do you like Brant Bjork at all?

😂😂 that was a good one! EZ Band is another one killing it with the latino/rock mash ups. would absolutely come out of concert retirement to see them if they come out to Cali

James Gunns Peacemaker, aside from being one of the best superhero/comic adaptations ever made has also gotten me out of a music Rut with its awesome soundtrack. Foxy Shazam is the new intro song and I've had it pretty heavy rotation lately - not my usual Jam but loving it!

^^^^^^^ WTF is that? Just a reminder that music today sucks! lol
Do hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Be a hard bastard but be respectful.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. There's a Finite supply of "great old Music" that stops sounding great after the umpteanth thousandth time. this thread has been great for finding some new sounds. I'm just glad to see there are still allot of great bands grinding it out and putting new spins on some great genres.

Oh no doubts. I just told my son the same thing about listening to great songs a billion times makes them great still but.....old. New music that grabs your attention quickly is hard for me to find and this thread is doing a great job at that. Agreed on different strokes for different folks 100%. Still gonna throw some shade at stuff that I think is out there though. But. Ill stand here and admit.....everyone who has a song that people can listen to are amazing. Spreading their art to whomever digs it. More of that please.....
