    Sports/Action setups?

Hey folks! Hobby photographer, just something I picked up over the last couple of years. I use a Sony NEX-5N (pre-alpha mirrorless) and shoot a lot of landscapes/nature shots. Never really done much sports/action shots, but am interested in starting to shoot paintball matches. What kind of set-ups do you all us? Auto-focus required (I typically shoot manual with converted vintage lenses)? Wide open or stopped down?

Glad I found my way back here, looking forward to sharing photos, tips, and stories.

okay not sure what F/stop you can get. for out doors i shoot at F/2.8 and 1/1250 to get stop action ISO will change do to the sunlight or how shady or dark. also that point and shot camera. will get job done but not great. base on my setting what you should do. or find away to get cheap sony mirrorless with used 70-200mm. i mean like sony a7 II or II

I get what you're saying. The NEX really isn't a point and shoot, it uses the sony e-mount lenses, so I can still put modern lenses on it and I have full control over iso/shutter/etc. I have the kit lens, but it only stops down to 5.6. I also have a 200mm that stops down to 5.6, and a 55mm that stops down to 2.8

well if not point and shoot then and can use sonly e mount lenses then find used cheap 70-200mm lens. i when i looked at it looked like point and shoot. want to use lowest F/stop and along with 1/1000 to 1/2000 and keep iso low as you can. best bet is iso sensitivity on to and aperture mode on
