Who do you use to develop your film?

    Hello yall,

Haven't done it in a while, and the lab I used is not taking work anymore.
Who do you use to develop your film nowadays?
I have no problem sending them via mail and waiting ...

    Thanks,
    X

There's a Hunt's camera shop near me that I have used a few times. Just be warned it is WAY more expensive than it used to be.

Lucky enough to be in Socal with a ton of labs nearby but the ones I know that do mail order:

The Darkroom - Never used them but I think they're the cheapest option out there. Get recommended by a ton of places.
Richard Photo Lab - Just dropped a load off here, but they're a big name for commercial and high-end shooters so should be very reliable.
The Icon - Used these guys a few times but my last batch had a lot of hair and scratches on it. They redid it but the fact nobody caught it beforehand was questionable.

Icon also cross-processed a roll that was supposed to be E6 with C-41 instead without me asking them too. I assume because they didn't look at the label. Didn't realize it until I did another roll of the same film and it came out with a completely different color temp.

I just do mine at home. It's not that that bad or hard, but you will also need a very good scanner. I've learned the big key is consistent temperature. I've never sent them off anywhere so can't speak to that, but I can only imagine most places are quite qualified.

Yup, temperature influences chemical catalyst which in turns influences contrast which indirectly influences sharpness and clarity.

I develop my own but there's a site called https://thedarkroom.com that you guys already talked about lol.
There is also Full circle, I've used them before last time it was $11 a roll I think. https://fullcirclefineart.com/film-services/
