    Full Moon

Was able to catch the full/blue moon last night. The skies opened up just enough to snap a few photos of it.

Took these with my D5600 Nikon with a 300mm lens. Shot at 1/125 a second on F11. Stacked 10 photos. I probably should have taken more, but I was trying to run a roll of Delta 100 35mm film through another camera that I'll probably develop today. Never taken moon shots with film so figured it was worth a try.

    Here's the digital shot:

I would love to get back into more astrophotography but not sure where to start. Last time I was taking good night shots was back in 2010, so I'm quite sure technology has changed. Time to do some research.

I couldn’t believe how bright it was last night here at around 9, even with the bit of cloudiness. Coulda played a night game of paintball lol.

I came here hoping for this... And half expecting someone's backside with their pants down.

I took this one in 2018. It was my first attempt at it. I don't remember how many shots I stacked, I think around 5.

This is from 2019. I took it in Hawaii. There was next to no light pollution so you could see a lot of stars. I was shocked at how many more the camera picked up. Only setting I remember is it was a 30 second exposure.

Nice! I've taken a few night shots for stars with just OK results. Hawaii looks nice!
