    Solargraphy

Made my first attempt at a pin hole beer can camera, placed on a mountain top and soaked in the sun's rays for 3 1/2 months.

There was some water in the can and I'm not sure if it permeated through the top or via the hole. Hence the water marks. Going to try again with a few more cans in different spots. I have a couple more to collect and will be more careful on keeping them upright just in case water is inside so it doesn't run back onto the paper ruining it.

Are you planning on doing something on the 8 April 2024 event? It’s going right over my old city in NY

So, I have no idea what event is happening... I'm close to NY. Color me intrigued.

Ah, this won't do anything for that. If there is a clear sky I might try taking some photos... We shall see if the weather cooperates.

Neat, sorry that's all my fault. I stopped watching the news (or well, TV in general actually) for over a year now. I read up on the national headlines online, but beyond that. Nope. Life has been better for it. It's amazing how people want to get worked up for the "thing" of the week. But in reality if you missed it, you would never know about it, no one would ever talk about it again, and in the end never affected your life.

                  I recommend it to everyone.

Yep I agree completely it’s only worth getting worked up over things you can change as an individual. I kinda want to fly home for this, but I have a memorial that I have to fly back for in June, and being retired can’t afford both so close together.
Should definitely be a neat event event, Watertown has a hill top park that will be packed with people for this event and the reason why it’s hyped so much locally.

Taken over a small pond. Obviously water damage, the caps I made were not waterproof as I was told they would be if I used my method. Will make more and attempt again. Not sure if I want to do it over winter, but might as well try.
