Shooting on Glass Plate

I've been gearing up and shooting on some old timey glass plate (4x5 size). It needs some work still, but slowly getting there. Has been a fun experiment!

I've still got a long ways to go. Worked out a few knots in the rope in the process already, but it was a new camera so was also testing that. I've been using a fairly vintage camera for glass plates prior. Like 100 years old vintage. This one is only 20 years old.

Need a sunny day, need an f11 stop for better detail, also can't forget my shutter remote. The burryness came from me shaking the camera while I manually hit the shutter with my finger.

But as a first step, I'm happy. Now just to refine it.

If that's a graflok 4x5, Lomo makes an Instax wide adapter for it! I've messed around with it on my Calumet bellows camera and it's pretty fun. I've been meaning to try plate photography one of these days.

That particular one is a Japanese Wista 45SP, but the back might be a graflok or at least interchangeable. I'm pretty sure all the parts on this camera can be swapped out. I'll have to check that out, sounds very interesting.
