I jumped on due to the nostalgia, but I'm not playing online or with people.... which is exactly what made me quit playing it wayyyyy back in the day.Those PVP battles with all the loot hacks and stuff killed that experience for me. I do enjoy the Diablo 2 grind, though and with the improved graphics it makes me feel like a kid again. -
Ahh, i hear ya on the pvp stuff, but it seems way more chill now. Theres free stuff rooms, and people randomly rush you and let you take all the gear.
Id say dont let the pvp memories keep ya off of the net. If you decide to come online, Ill help ya get to Baal runs.Comment

I'm sure I'll run on battle net before too long. It's becoming the dark season and I really "game" far more in the winter months. I have really enjoyed the very SIMPLE grind that diablo 2 was/is. I'm working a paladin on my first run through, next will likely be an amazon. After that... I dunno. I'll hit you up if i get more serious on it.Comment

You need to be on battle.net, vs offline. Your offline chars. cant play on battle.net.
That being said you should be able to click "lobby" rather than "play" and see a list of active games to select from there.
Also if you add friends, you can simply join their games from the friends list.
