1883: best show this year thus far

Y’all seen 1883 on Paramount? ******* amazing show. I just finished the season finale that aired last night. It’s a prequel spinoff of Yellowstone, highly recommended 👍

We just finished both series, enjoyed Yellowstone more as 1883 is a little slower but certainly gets going near the end of the season.

Let me ask this question: does it end every episode with an annoying cliffhanger only to end the season with an even more annoying cliffhanger?

I usually hate western, but this show is awesome!
my wife and I have been eating them ...

There is a bit of suspense at the end, but no major clif hanger till the last episode or 2 (haven't watched the finale yet ...)

Makes me want to watch Yellowstone ... Is it set in modern day or does it start right off 1883?

Yellowstone is set in modern day, follows the same (Dutton) family. Kevin Costner plays the Dutton patriarch.

Yellowstone is by far my fave of current TV offerings. Haven't seen 1883 but this thread makes me want to.
