Last week I re-watched Guache the Cellist. It’s pretty much the exact opposite of most of the stuff mentioned here so far. Made mostly by two guys over six years, based on a Miyazawa story, never made a dime, never made it to the US, never gave a 12 year old mall kid a boner. A true masamune-grade masterpiece.
