^ Any idea how large all of this is?
Great price if only for a couple of the games, much less the entire package. I sits and wonders how much of this I could actually load at one time and how much blowing my data cap will cost...

Yup, quite familiar with Steam. Been my favorite gaming platform for some time. I hearken back to a day that all you needed was Steam. So many devs now want you to install this player, that player, anticheat, blah blah and it's a holy mess.
The reason I asked is that I figure a couple of you have probably already downloaded a good bit of this. My game storage is, well, running a bit low, probably time to consider adding another drive or upgrading to a larger SSD but was hoping to get a ballpark figure to assist in the choosing.

punkncat I got this WD 5 TB external drive last year for $100 and its been working flawlessly;
WD 5TB My Passport Portable External Hard Drive HDD, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 Compatible, Black - WDBPKJ0050BBK-WESN
Iām also running two SSDās but its hard to argue against 5TBās for $100-110

I don't run games from HDD any longer. I have a Synology NAS that I keep running for archive type storage, pics, things like that. I utilize SATA SSD for my games. I do like to consider the external HDD units for shucking drives from. Typically, is much less expensive than buying the same drive outright.

Seajay I go back and forth constantly about wanting a fancy rig that can play modern games. I don't have a ton of time for gaming and when I do I'm usually content to just doodle around on my Switch. In theory it would be fun, but in practice I don't know how worthwhile it would be.

There are some games you just cannot enjoy without a mouse and keyboard. The entire FPS genre is like that for me. If you can have fun without such games, then definitely do that... gaming PCs are expensive af due to the depreciation, and annoying to keep all of the drivers and stuff up to date.
