    NVIDIA's new AD102-based GeForce RTX 4090: 600W+ power usage

do not ask me question but you need to read find out your self. since do not understand what they said in article
NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 4090 'confirmed' to have TBP of 600W, 'further along' than other cards, could be 'first' to launch.

I mean it is the 4090... which is absurd for normal users. The 4080/4070 is the go to look at, and the 4060 for the common man, which hopefully should have realistic power usage. The performance is something I am really looking forward too.

Although AMD might be the super spice this go around. The current 6700xt I think still holds the crown in terms of gaming, cost, and overall usage. Not even considering Intel, we have some really good competition coming up.

6900XT is excellent! Night and day difference from the 5700xt. they dropped to the price of a 6700XT for a few days on newegg. So far power consumption is marginally higher than the 5700xt. 600w is just silly

HAhaha, awesome. To bring this rumor graph into perspective... it's like having a paintball gun that can do 12 pods on a 68ci, and then the next gun can do 25 pods on a 48ci at a lower operating pressure (AMD), with the closest rival only doing 22 pods on a 68ci (Nvidia). Arguably both impressive, but one clearly the one you want to buy.

these wattage and heat numbers are just getting ridiculous, i saw a thing recently where it was a test rig that was pulling 2400 watts across the graphics cards..

they keep this up we are gonna need a gas generator just to power the damn things

Well those are some super duper numbers. These are benching competition cards though, so it's more a testament to the fact that these cards Can do that crazy of power draw.
There would be no reason to run these cards like that for normal use. These cards are trying to hit top numbers for a leaderboard score.

Still crazy, any previous cards would have either needed considerable modification plus liquid nitrogen cooling, or just straight would melt.

You can see the nitrogen pots next to the cards. But what is interesting is the cores are being water cooled, but the board is only air cooled. That is some incredible power delivery.
