    Horror Movies

Just watched the new Hellraiser on Hulu. Wow what a total shit fest. Why is it so hard for them to make a good horror movie? I mean, all of the reboots since 2010 have been absolutely terrible, I guess the recent Halloween reboot wasn’t completely bad by comparison but wow. Cant seem to find a decent new horror film, You guys have any recommendations?

Last night I watched Don't Breathe. It's not new, but for some reason I never heard of it. I liked it s lot, it was the type of horror movie I like, not torture porn, and somewhat feasible.

I haven't seen anything close to being scary since The Ring or The Grudge but I like my gore like Saw or Final Destination series

So this is not a joke, but the other night my wife put on the new Sabrina the Teenage Witch show on one of the streaming platforms. It was actually not bad. It was a bit cheesy, but nothing as bad as the original. People getting murdered with scissors to the neck and stuff like that. It would be a good show to watch with someone who doesn't like intense horror. Keep in mind though we only made it like 25 minutes before the kids came out letting us know it wasn't bed time yet (2 hours after their bedtime).

I did watch Sabrina on Netflix, it was OK. Definitely worth the watch but then its not very memorable. I would never watch it again. Have you seen Ash vs Evil Dead the Showtime series? Much better.

The Ring is so good. I know alot of the film buffs swear the Japanese version is better but I don't find the original scary at all. i love the American remake. It's also its cinematography and art direction which is highly underrated. It's an amazing horror flick by all means. Also something about that Washington state setting just hits home. I also like the American remake of Let Me in (2009) over the original Swedish version. I know that alot of people consider that sacrilege but I couldnt care less lol

I love the American Ring. They did such a good job balancing discomfort and fear and jump scares. The music from 'the video' sticks in my heads and gives me the jibblies.

Saw Terrifier the other day and, well, it was something. Tons of gore, crazy death scenes, lots of really graphic mutilation, but it was also actually scary, unlike a lot of other gore-horror. I won't be watching it again, and I won't be seeing the sequel. But if you want something that'll mess with your sleep for a while, that'll do it.

Not new by any means but the original Let The Right One In was really good if you don’t mind subtitles. It was creepy as hell & the ending has got to be one of the best horror movie endings ever. I haven’t seen a good modern horror movie in a long time. The last couple of Halloweens were terrible & the Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre was just one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.

Yeah I love Let The Right One In, but like I was mentioning earlier I actually prefer the American remake. Theyre both great though. Yeah, all of the reboots have been complete shit fests except IT

Brokeass_baller Yea, I think its still on Netflix, its a 2 part reboot. The first one is good. Best reboot of all the old franchises, hands down. The second part was OK. But both are worth watching. And they’re actually considered to be closer to the original Stephen King books than the originals. Although theres no orgie in the reboots either

Watched The Sadness (2021), taiwanese horror flick, in the same vein as the Korean zombie film/shows but a little different. It was a good change up from the korean zombie stuff

Never been a big horror movie fan (unless it's MUCH older) and its not close to "new" but I LOVE "Tucker and Dale versus Evil". Cheesy, yes. Over the top, yes. But a great Slap Stick horror/comedy. If you want a "fun" horror movie, you should check it out.

I havent seen it, I'd have to check it out. I have Terrifier 2 downloaded for tonight. Just came out. Granted its not really my cup in terms of subgenre but it should still be entertaining

Farm House isn't the best of the genre, just something that has stuck with me.
