Terrifier 2 wasnt bad at all. The main actress is a 44 YO playing a teenager, if you can believe it. She could totally get it.

Have you guys seen It Follows? Thats actually my favorite recent-ish horror flick, even better than Hereditary, IMO. It should still be on Netflix.

It Follows is great, I think it's on Hulu right now.

The original Alien is probably my favorite horror movie.

I'm not a fan of horror movies, but I don't mind it when combined with some action/sci-fi. And I'd be more inclined to watch for suspense than gore.

I'm the opposite. I don't love SciFi unless it's more towards the Horror end. Alien is one of the best horror movies ever made IMO.

Just recalled another: The Cell (2000) had a scene that haunted me as a young adult.

I saw Barbarian (2022) last night. Definitely worth a watch. I’m actually surprised my last two picks weren’t total shit fests cause most new horror flicks are total and utter shit. But both Terrifier 2 and Barbarian were entertaining and worth it.

I watched "The Taking of Deborah Logan" with wifey the other day and it def. gave me the creeps. More unsettling than pure horror, but I enjoyed it.

I also like the American remake of Let Me in (2009) over the original Swedish version. I know that alot of people consider that sacrilege but I couldnt care less lol

Saw Halloween Ends weekend before last. What a mess. I fully expected it to be bad but…wow…i was not expecting what we got. It’s awful but not in the same way as Kills. Granted, you have to go into a movie like that able to suspend disbelief to an extent but so much of the story just made no sense. It’s as if they had a completely unrelated slasher movie half made & decided to throw Michael Myers in it & call it Halloween.

Good call. I avoided reviews because i wanted to go into it with an open mind. At least the ticket was free.

Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix right now - each episode is basically a movie at 60min run time. I've seen 1-3 and recommend skipping #2. #3, The Autopsy, is the best so far.

#2 is good though, loosely based on "Rats in the Wall" by HP Lovecraft.

Yes. i was just about to say, I'm enjoying it, it's all mostly based on HP Lovecraft's short works, master of cosmic horror. +1
