need help can use 2tb g-drive

okay desktop aka pc says it can see drive and working right. but will not let me open it or touch it to use

Does it need to be formatted to a specific type before it can be used?

Have you initialized the drive?

Go into Disk Management there should be a grey block right click on it and I think it is add volume, format and extend the drive.

someone said do this and will follow it after one my computer buddy talk to me show step by step what i said to do. since i have learning disability. if this works will get one more for travel laptop to have to store photo when traveling around to give space need. since will have tons of photo move to it. then when home move to move to the 14tb external drive i plug in or leave on one 2 4tb drive or 5tb drive backup hard drive i have for storage. since photo so large take up to much space

here the issue i have need help or unless buddy can help me. but can not do anything in till i move over 900gb of camera class to 14tb drive. they want me to mess with what photo show in picture. not sure how long to move.

Something to try change the USB port that the 2tb external hdd is plug into. If it is a desk top i recommend one on the back of the desk top. You should be seeing a disk 2 underneath disk 1.

If you scroll down and see a disk 2 it will look like the 15mb of unallocated space you have on the right side of disk 0.

One trick to help you if you are using windows 10 and up there is a program preinstalled called snip and sketch it allows you to take a screen shot.

G-Drives come formatted for Mac OS by default and that can't be read by Windows. You can download and install MacDrive to read the drive and it should let you reformat it to a Windows-readable format.

okay why is it see it. and photo i showed says i have to do that i can not touch it or mess with it. will not let format it too. in till i tell computer let me touch it.
