okay i download all my cd's to laptop I-tunes app how do i transfer to new desktop

i download about over 200cds to my laptop I-tunes app. would be simple to redownload them to this I-tunes app. or transfer from laptop I-tunes app to here.

Save them on an external drive then plug the external drive into the new computer. Its good to have a backup anyway

There is a folder that contains your entire iTunes library. I believe it’s even called “library”. You can copy that folder to your new computer. If copying the entire computer over you can use Apple Migration assistant and just copy your entire computer contents.

Also it depends if you’re talking purchased “CDs” through iTunes or if they are ripped from CDs.

First mistake used iTunes. Good luck one of the reasons I dumped everything Apple is how Apple's Gestapo approach to DRM through iTunes corrupted a shit load of my music files that legitimately did not have DRM imbedded.

will take the I-tunes folder and move to new computer. if that does not work then download all cds again
