Because more is better? Duh. I have a 144hz monitor and I think I'm good just hanging out in that range.

After looking up the specs I don't trust it's an IPS at a 500 refresh rate, that smells like overdrive just being cranked with ghosting and overshoot. I'd rather wait for micro oled tech to get better and cheaper before updating my LG 144hz IPS panel.

I'm happy with my 144hz. It takes a LOT of money to hit 144, unless it's an older game.

the cost ($, size, weight, power [heat], noise) isn't worth the benefit to me. Not of the monitor, but of the system required to drive it up to those specs. External GPUs are getting there slower than I had hoped, but that's my next move - hopefully on an AMD-based laptop.

External cards are only as good as the IO they pass through.
