I downloaded it yesterday after seeing this stupid video in my YT feed. The game’s good. It’s like a cross between Rainbow 6, CS, and PUBG. Or at least it feels that way to me. It’s more realistic than R6. It only takes a couple center torso shots with any gun

I played a ton of that game closer to when it came out. Really enjoyed it, the gunplay is awesome. Reminds me of the old Red Orchestra games. If you're into that sort of thing and the WW2 theme, check out Darkest Hour on Steam. Still has a pretty active community (we fill a 64-player server most nights and especially weekends).

Yeah, I have a few thousand hours in that game. I haven't played since they killed and then re-birthed Firefight. Such a fun game, but as is common with smaller developers, it has a fair number of issues that have not, and will not be ironed out.

Honestly, more issues than Counter Strike? that game is so broken, not only because of the pervasive cheating, but the cartoony goofy guns. PUBG also has a huge hacker problem now.

I haven't played CS since 1.6, so I can't say.

There's just a lot of weird bugs in Insurgency. Switch weapons, and then you can't switch back. VOIP issues are AWFUL sometimes. It's been some time since I played, but there were a handful.

The biggest issue for me was when they changed the casual Firefight game mode from 12v12 to 5v5. They were attempting to compete with the existing Competitive communities that ran 5v5, but they half assed it and absolutely killed the game mode. Then they put it back to 12v12 with a quarter of the player base.

They definitely fixed those bugs then. I haven’t really experienced any bugs. I havent played firefight mode yet but a lot of the other modes playout like skirmishes.

I actually just logged on and immediately had the permanent hot-mic issue lol. Didn't stick around to try everything else out.

Unfortunately yeah CS went the way of custom skins and that really sucks. I still play 1.6 or source occasionally and Day of Defeat still play quite a lot.

My current realism shooter has been Ready or Not. Same deal, small developer but its extremely realistic and its PvE so you can coop with friends. Sandstorm is fun, just don't like PvP as much.
