Possible a copyright issue? You used to be able to manually select the music you wanted to put onto your phone, so check that it is syncing the entire library?

But yeah, syncing is step one. chrislognshot 1) make sure that your itunes sees your iphone, first and foremost. You should be able to see it on the left column above your computer's itunes music library. Then 2) try dragging the album or playlist from the list, from your computer's library, above to where the phone library is, keep dragging it, until that sync box appears, then drop it. if it doesn't appear then see my see my post below...

itunes is the worst. it really depends on your windows version, Itunes firmware, and phone firmware version. It all has to be right for it to play nice. Otherwise, if the problems persist, I would just use another third party software like MediaMonkey to import music into the phone

Make sure your phone firmware is up to date as well as your itunes, and what windows version are you on?

Cdn_Cuda, it doesnt have to do with copyright. You should be able to move any music mp3 files. (no itunes support for lossless /FLAC) Rather, it's firmware handshake issue with windows that makes itunes act up. Sometimes you can have everything up to date and it could still decide it doesn't want to import music.

When you move a playlist or album from your itunes library over to your phone, you should be able to drag and drop, when you drag it up to the phone, another box should appear, but if there's a handshake issue then it wont appear -- so you have to highlight all the songs in an album, right click, and select "send to device..." then select the phone. But this method doesn't work for custom playlist migration. So then if you have the handshake issue, then you're better off using MediaMonkey or another third party program.
