    Nintendo Switch 2

I want one, but don’t NEED one at all. I have far too many Switch games I haven’t finished up as it is, but as a Nintendo fanboy I feel like I need to get one. $450 for a basic system and $500 with a Mario Kart bundle seems steep when I hardly have time to ply my other 2 Switch systems. Thankfully, I heard Nintendo has some barriers in place to cut back on scalping prices because it sounds like they have plenty on hand for launch. As for game prices, I will wait and see what other Game companies follow up with on their own titles before making judgements there.

They just postponed pre-release because of these tariffs. I bet by release, they’re more than $450. I want one for the new MKart. That’s my jam.

I was disappointed my Nintendo Switch. Games, even old games, are super expensive. Can buy a AAA Ps4 games that's couple years old for $20 but a decade old Nintendo game is $80!? Wanted the Switch to be more like a Wii, I suppose. My kids even barely used the Switch. Will not be buying another Nintendo console.

You’ll see everyone follow suit in game prices.

It doesn’t feel like a new system but it obviously isn’t a totally new system. They are correcting a lot of complaints people had and updating at the same time. Nintendo is in a different market section than PC, Sony, and Microsoft. They aim for family friendly and are pretty darn good at hitting it. Nintendo doesn’t need the best graphics or the most in-depth games the require days to download and terabytes of storage space to have. They are more about experience.

My oldest kid is saving his money for the Switch 2. We have 4 switches in the house. But my wife and I won’t be running out to buy new ones. I think Nintendo has a great product in the Switch and Switch 2. But sales will be lost by people like my wife and I because the 2 isn’t significantly better and higher value than the original.

I really wish Nintendo would have ran fast and hard with the Labo VR line though. I refuse to buy Pokemon Snap because it wasn’t VR supported.

PC Gamer: We haven't even gotten over the sting of $70 games and now Nintendo's asking people to pay $80 for Mario Kart

I’ll get one eventually but definitely not at launch. I’ve got enough of a backlog to keep me occupied for a long long time. I also really hate that if you already own certain games (Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, etc) you still have to pay for the Switch 2 upgrades. Mario Kart World & Metroid Prime 4 look incredible though.

I know it's not the same market but at that price I would just buy a steam deck
