since will be wanting to use my Z6 as video camera. want to have good program where i can play video and get high quality photo's from video. still want to use video to post but want to be able to take photo's from it too. right now can not afford adobe premiere pro since 20 month is to much right now i doing the free trail

If you want a photo of a frame in a video:
1: Play video in full screen mode and cue to the frame you want.
2: Hit the Print Screen Key
3: open your chosen image editor, hit Control N and then CTRL-V.
You don’t need to spend any money, every computer has had this built in since the 80s.Comment

i like both your ideas. but will need good edit program down the road when i start using my Z6 for video along with taking photo. i want to be able to grab photo from video when i get my new monitor for looking at 4k stuff and photo editing. want to plan ahead so i know what to get and read up and do research on it. if camera gear i would rent before i buy. since new model camera better to rent before buy. i know i need 14-24mm and long telephoto zoom and 120-300mm then have all my lenses done no more lenses unless one breaks. want some good suggestion on it. right now can not afford that stuff in till get new job

If you want to grab a photo from a video you either do what I suggested or have your player save a screen shot. That really is all there is to it and no money spent on additional software will do a better job. That’s it, it’s done. A direct grab or whatever the frame looks like as it’s played back is the best it’s going to get. Still frames of video are not as high quality as individual photos, that’s why they make still cameras and video cameras.
Software for editing photos is another matter, I’d suggest Lightroom or PS Elements or Gimp.
The idea that you will buy everything you’ll ever need at once is a money pit dead end mentality. Start shooting, learn to use what you have, and then once you’re at a point where there are shots you want but cannot take, then get new gear. Without experience you don’t know what you want, nobody does. If you go into a camera shop now the employees will see “noob” on your forehead you’re going to end up with a stack of filters, two flashes, and a tripod, none of which will be used.Comment

Your strategy for grabbing the photo relies on the displayed image being at the native resolution and color depth. Otherwise, you're capturing the manipulation being done by the graphics driver on your system. This is why "additional software" is used - it can capture the native data without any thing else mucking it up. -
That’s true, I didn’t consider HDR and in fact I once had this issue.
