What Call of Duty thinks of our sport

This is a cosmetic bundle I saw in the store while playing some Warzone with my brother-in-law. Complete with a "Bonus balling" finishing move

Given the diameter of the barrel and the size of that bottle the gun must be fricken yuge

They also have an airball field in one of the Warzone maps.

COD is basically Fortnite for sweats now. All the furry skins, Cheech and Chong, Seth Rogan, its clearly all just a cash grab as the game often runs like shit. They won't fix bugs, but they will add more stupid skins to buy.

Totally agree. I stopped playing forever ago but recently started up again because my brother in-law plays that and Fifa. He literally beg me to redownload it. I play Hunt showdown which is essentially the Stockclass of FPS games haha cowboy guns and if you die you lose that player and all your equipment.

That's cool, I might try that. I haven't played online in a long time. Im a field hard Zombies player. Even that's got plenty of bad with the good. Its way too easy compared to previous titles. It has training wheels telling you how to unlock Pack a Punch, and there's one map where you actually have to turn on generators for power. Not much of a challenge anymore with 3 plate vests and all the upgrades and perks available. I think Black Ops 3 was peak for Zombies.

Definitely try Hunt showdown. It's PvPvE so there's zombies, monsters, and other players. Plus the cowboy aesthetic is just fun. A lot of single shot rifles, single action revolvers, shotguns, and everything is basically a 1 shot head shot. So there's no new OP SMGs, slide canceling, or diving just good aim and tactics wins

    Ugh lol

I'm not stoked with the direction of FPS games these days.

I either want full realism - movement, accuracy while moving etc. should all be tuned like real life. No respawns.

    OR

Full boomer shooter. I was a Quake 3 promode machine back in the day, so awesome. Rocket jumping skills, plasma wallriding skills, insano 300kph strafejumping skills. Bowhunting skills.

BUT everything these days seems to be trying for this weird middle ground where you've got real steel guns and gear but then the character movement is insanely fast and bunnyhoppy and the sweats all run and gun CQB with an anti materiel rifle.

It's fake and cringe. I still play some of them tho. Delta Force is fun.

Closest modern thing to a genuine boomer arena shooter seems to be Splitgate, which is about to get a sequel.

Cringe wise I think all the stupid weed shit is worse than this. I consume a lot of cannabis, but let’s be real this game is mostly 16 & 17 year olds. Theres no reason to have all that shit imo.

but yeah cod is dumb, but so am I because I still enjoy zombies.

I'm currently playing through final fantasy 7 from 1997

Know what it doesn't have? BS payable content, bad representations of sports and "influencers".

It does, have roughly 50 hours of play through for an average game and that number usually goes to around 80 if you want to complete all the side quests.

I played the first installment. It's shiny sure and it's fun to see the characters in that kind of detail but they completely destroyed the battle system. In the original 7 or took strategy, the remake you can get through with button mashing. I've seen video of the final battle against sephiroth and I was rather shocked. First off why was aerith present? I'm so sick of this media culture where nobody dies. Yes I'm expecting it to be her "ghost" or something but come on. Death used to mean something. Star wars basically taught everyone that no character ever actually dies, they just become a "ghost" and continue on in the story. Aeriths death in the original was a very pivotal point and knowing she comes back in any form kind of ruins it. Second, sephiroth is just.... A guy. In the original he transforms himself into a demigod. You are not fighting a man. He is literally known as the one winged angel and in the original game his whole lower body is 6 wings and then he has one black one off of his back. The point is he is no longer human and ever since Advent children he has been dumbed down.

I was hoping that somebody would post goldeneye.

COD is still relevant? I thought people gave up on that years go after they just kept cloning the same game every year.

It's an endless live service game now, there's no annual release, just "seasons" that auto update.

        Mehhhhhh.
    Working...
