Traxxas Mini Maxx

Anyone pick up the newer Mini Maxx? I see the reviews are pretty mixed. I am considering grabbing a Maxx because my buddy just grabbed the Arrma Granite, but at that 1/10 scale truck size, they just feel like a lot. (And I used to own an Xmaxx). I'm thinking as much as Id like to bash around w/ my friend(s), the Minimaxx could be fun to throw in my truck and take on camping trips and whatnot... The Maxx feels like it would just be too fast and too in any sort of camping scenario.

Any experience with any of 'em? thoughts?

You're not alone, I love r/c, but definitely don't dabble in the high end. I picked up a Bezgar off Amazon and was amazed at how well it was actually put together and it's durability so far. Their customer service was actually good too

ive got a mini revo with the stock brushless and that little thing is a beast, pair it up with even a single LiPo and it hauls ass and is a capable climber/crawler. Ive have a full size Tmaxx in the past when the .15 was the only option and even that thing was a beast of a machine for its powerplant. I loaned the Tmaxx to a friend when he was going through some shit and he fuckin sold it for drug money. that was a hard lesson to learn for me at the time considering my poor financial decisions and the amount of time it took me to save for it. FWIW, I used to bag on traxxas all the time when I didnt know any better and for some reason was an HPI fan boy. at any rate ive seen the Tmaxx take hits on hits on hits that wouldve devastated my MT4 or nitro rally.

I just bought a Traxxas slash kit (non rtr) along with a few cheap upgrades. I wanted to get into racing and there’s two venues here within two hours that do stock slash racing (and allow just a few durability upgrades).

Ill post pics once I get it assembled, will be my first body I have to paint as well.

I’m super stoked, if I get into the racing thing this summer I’m sure I’ll have a Tekno or something next year. This was $330 all in with batteries so just a hair cheaper than a race kit haha

I ended up biting the bullet on the Mini Maxx. It’s a dope little truck. It’s compact as hell, but feels very durable. It goes fast enough in 2s for anything you’d need outside of a giant field…

We’ll see how testing goes.

Pic is of my Slash alive it’s an absolute monster. Carbon fiber frame, upgraded motor/esc… can’t even control it on 3s. Too fast. I didn’t built its alls I did was get and paint the body. Lol. #BoughtNotBuilt

Yeah, just some white paint and tape. Sprayed the whole thing white, then taped it and sprayed it all pink. Nothing too fancy. Haha

dano_____ my friend also recommended me the Bezgar for someone starting out or kids. Amazon has a lightning deal right now for the 1:12. It’s $85 For kids, especially, that’s an amazing deal. I just ordered it.

Took a while but received most of it today. Have another body and some more wheels and tires soon. Stoked to hopefully have time to start the assembly tomorrow.

I too got mine to play with my niece. I figure it's cheap enough that if she breaks it, it won't be too big of a deal. I'm actually impressed with the quality for the price.

I snagged a couple of those Bezgar trucks that Matrix posted. One of them is going to my nephew who has a birthday coming up. The other is going into the general rc motor pool the kids and I screw around with.

Mine are taking the scenic route and won't show up til next week. Does the manual on these give part numbers for spares? I've had pretty good luck finding spares on Aliexpress for the little Haiboxing trucks that Amazon sells. I'm thinking spare parts for these should be available as well.
