Rc estate gold mine appraisal help.

Long story short. I have a good friend who's uncle passed away. He was a 55 year old single man with a dream collection of rc parts, e bikes, and tools.

I know a little about rc stuff, but I want to help the family move some of these niche items to get their estate some food liquid asset.

I just left the farm, and only got a few over arching photos of the main rc room, and I dont have good service out there to Google glass everything.

I thought of MCB when it came to figuring out what some of these things are valued at.

So, does anyone spot any gold mine items in these photos? Ill be going back eventually to help organize and can get more photos and information at that time, but I was hoping for some helpful advice on moving forward with these sales.

And Ill happily broker sales to mcb if you guys are interested in some of this stuff. ( once they have probate figured out)

The two single car photos, im honestly interested in. He will let me buy one. Im thinking The blue traxxis car is the one Id want. Any advice on that choice?

    Thanks for any help!

I'd go with the traxxas one much better replacement parts available. Not sure what that other one is. I do see a few crawlers they should bring good money. Not sure on rest hard to tell without close up of the added hop up parts.

Is that the majority of the collection? It's weird to me because I don't see any of the brands normally associated with a collector his age. Usually you would see losi, kyosho, tamiya, Schumacher, team associated etc. these are mostly newer stuff of Chinese origins.

Edit. Actually I see that one kyosho blizzard. That's a good find
I think the buggy below it is a sportswerks chaos.

There is more parts and 2 boats in his garage. But this was most of it. Every single box 8s neatly stacked in the basement also, so Id be able to have original packaging with them.

I see an SCX10 (I think version 1.0) on the work bench.
I want to say the one you want is an xmaxx, but the body is throwing me off.

second shelf red body looks like an axial wraith, maybe.
next to on the other shelf, red w/ Kyosho sticker on window is a Blizzard. I was just telling my dad this week I’d like to find a used one. So, let me know on that.

I’m not super confidence on any of these except the Blizzard and SCx10.

honestly, every one of them looks a little off to me. I wonder if a lot of them are RedCat versions of their axial and traxxas counterparts. If you could get better pictures, we could probably get most of them Figured out for you.

I'm thinking that blue one you're interested in might be an older Traxxas Rustler. It's too small to be an Xmaxx.

Pictures of the chassis with the bodies off would help.

I went back today. The family cleared most of the house out, and I helped them go through a bunch of the rc cars, which are all thats left. The traxxis I was eyeballing appears to be a traxxis sledge. I found the controller and was able to get it to drive a bit before the battery flashed voltage. I couldnt find the charger, but ao got it for $200. Seems a nice unit.

They had a lot of nice cars and boats you cant really see in my pictures, and I offered to piece meal sell them online for them, but they are going to sell the rest as a lot, so someone will have a hayday with it. If anyone is interested. Ill get more pot pictures and we can work something out, but they are after an all or nothing deal I guess, so sorry to the guys who want to buy one of these beasts.

Traxxas are good machines you should have fun with that one.

I hate their batteries. They’re ridiculously priced, should you need an upgrade, I like the Venom one.

I also don’t know wtf a Sledge is, which is interested because I’m no stranger to Traxxas, I thought that was an Xmaxx. I’m going to go Google it.

                Happy bashing!

I did see the batteries are insane. But they apparently offer a 50% off trade in program if they or the chargers to fail. I need a charger for mine to the tunr of $70 but Ive no money to fund that for a bit.

4S battery with what looks like an upgraded (Hobbywing possibly) motor... that thing is probably a real ripper! Looks like something upgrade wise going on with the gearbox as well. Good score!

I'll echo Riot on the batteries, seems middle of the road for premium pricing. I don't like how they lock you in to using Traxxas chargers, but they have their place. If the battery you have is in good condition it's probably worth it to just grab the Traxxas charger.
