WW2 Table top wargame, Too Fat Lardies Chain of Command

As a stepping stone to get into tabletop in wargames for my son and I, I picked up a copy of Chain of Command. I had looked into Battlefront but after watching some videos went with CoC instead.

Now to get more 20mm/1:72 figures. I would love to do 28mm but the vehicle choices are fewer and get expensive quick in comparison.

I will keep you up-to-date once we start to play.

I miss the old Avalon Hill WWII games like Squad Leader, Tank Leader, Battle of the Bulge...etc. I was introduced to them when I was in Middle School and they were a perfect level of historical fact and replay ability. The rules could get a little complicated at times but not so bad to discourage new players.

I'll have to check out these new tabletop games and see if they can spark of old interest in WWII war gaming.
