Eh... Same has been said of any and all kinds of systems since day one. People can adapt to new dangers and techniques with a little study. Don't forget that some have been building their own solar arrays and battery grids. And some of those people are mechanics.

You just need someone standing by with a wooden stick to push you off when you electrocute yourself. That's legitimately one of the tools listed for working with hybrid batteries.

When I say "shadetree" I'm talking about the idiots who make dangerous repairs to cars because they don't know what they're doing. I have seen a lot of those types of repairs over the years and they infuriate me beyond reason.

I have no problem with people who take the time to understand what it is they're working on and have an appreciation for the risks involved, both to them and bystanders.
