    New Countach

    https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/mo...tach-lpi-800-4

    Mm.

It's not exactly going to revolutionise the industry like the original, nor is it particularly innovative (it's a Sian/Aventador, hybrid powertrain, underneath), but I wouldn't say no. Love the interior.

To me part of what made the countach so amazing is the epic wheel arches, so it's a shame those aren't present at all in the new design.

It's fancy all right, but it's no 1991 Camry

If you can drive it in reverse without hanging outside the drivers side door...and if it's not a total deathtrap....it is no Countach. Countach means zero ergonomics and safety is an afterthought.

Yeah, I'm in the camp of people somewhat disappointed in it. Seems like Lambo's version of a cash grab based on people's nostalgia. Basically an Aventador with a body kit that has a couple features that look vaguely like a Countach.

I think that's exactly what it is - and what else could it be really? An amazing new innovative car probably wouldn't be given a retro name.

I was looking at the small car in the back ground of the photos and thinking "I think they did a great job!" Now that I realize I was mistaken, the new car needs more hard angles, like a million more of them. Looks like any other lambo to me.

I've been a Lamborghini fan for years. This is me in 1992:

And I still have it...the white coveralls that is..

I don't even see cup holders, man. Makes eating a bbq sandwich hard as hell since you've got to balance the drink between your thighs.

I immediately got a mental image of you trying to accomplish this hahaha

Man, my favorite part of the old one was the Giant shoulder-pad scoops at the top of the quarter panels. Like Elaine from Seinfeld mixed with an F14 tomcat jet intake. This new one kinda has them, but they don't stick out nearly enough!

I like it, nice lines and still shows its roots in the old Countach. I think they need to get rid of the pedal shifters and go back to a nice gated shifter.

Not to be even more of a hater but this^^^

If they had gone further than a simple front and rear body kit on an Aventador they really would have had something. Make it 2wd, gated shifter, more hard lines, big shoulder scoops, and for the love of god....A RED INTERIOR. Or even fully white like the original. You gotta have the outlandish colored interior to go with it.

Sorry, I should have clarified....I meant RED!!!! Like all red. Like so red it makes your eyes bleed. Not just some trim or a dash panel but the whole damn thing.

Surprised no one mentioned this yet... It also needs the giant wooden wing that does nothing. It’s not a countach without it.

That will come - the first countach didn't have that. They'll milk this for all it's worth, and that means more editions based on other past editions.

-Come now, the original wing did something! I made the car 5MPH slower!

Performance cars can't perform without being performative.

                    Keep that in mind
