I did have fairly stout aluminum headed 350 with a big single, but once I got past 700 or so I decided to go the easy way and go LS. Aftermarket sbcs are pricey. Think I have a video somewhere.

Hell yeah! Those 5.3's are overlooked in the 'no replacement for displacement' world. Details on the engine build?

Ported 706 heads, forged crank and SBC length h-beam rods, 10.2:1 CR forged pistons. Standard bore. Was a $300 4.8 with a 4l60. Didn't stroke it because it's a bit hard on the piston skirts.
