Person at my grandma's Jewel Osco takes her break in her car. Finds it missing and reports it stolen. Cops tell her they already found it. An older gentleman took her car by mistake and called the cops once he returned home. Heres the real odd part. She drove a Honda Civic. And he drove a Honda Fit. Yet his fob not only unlocked the wrong model car, it also started it. Thoughts?

Fobs use rolling codes, meaning every time you press a button on the fob, the fob send a new code to the car. That is a lot of codes, they are bound to have the same once in a while ...
Both cars being the same manufacturer mean they most likely have the same protocol, which increases the probability of overlap.
Uncommon, yes, but far from impossible ...Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...
