The radio in our 2018 Outback works ok, but there's an annoying lag when you connect to anything via Bluetooth- the audio in the car will be nearly half a second behind the phone's screen. Generally a non-issue when listening to podcasts but it can be frustrating if I'm scrubbing through a file or Youtube video to find what I want to listen to.

Just a patent, guys.... they're trying to get ahead of the curve in case it becomes a viable option.
As far as i know, self driving cars don't exist yet - we have level 1 and 2 "driver assisted" cars, but no fully autonomous cars on the market yet (level 3 and 4) mostly because computers can only drive cars in a controlled environment with very specific variables. For now.
