    congratulations KMDPB and Jeeper.
its a trip. you have to teach them EVERYTHING. its weird.

they dont know how to drink through a straw or from a cup for that matter. they dont know how to put on shoes or sandals even. they actually have to learn how to smile. (they look soo goofy when they try. their whole face scrunches up) lol
they have to learn how to roll over and even how to balance while they sit. its really neat/amazing to watch the development that we take for granted every day.
and they eat EVERYTHING... if they can reach it or if its on the floor, they will put it in their mouth.
they dont realize that the half eaten apple that rolled off the table and across the kitchen floor that now has an outer shell of dirt and hair if NOT ok to eat. they dont even know to stop at the core... lol theyll just keep going.

      Congratulations, fellas!

I echo the sentiments expressed here already. My oldest just turned 2, and we recently added to that with our 3mo old. If you value sleep, I highly recommend you pickup a Snoo Bassinet. They are pricey at ~1.4k, but can be rented - just have to buy new linens. We went from waking up every 15-30min to every few hours when baby needed to eat. It's a game changer if your infant takes to it. Of the 5 babies in my friend group over the past couple of years, all 5 took to the Snoo. And it's pretty quick to pack for trips every once in a while.

Tarsun2 's 'soiled, hungry, tired' advice is sound. If that doesn't cut it, it's time to schedule a visit with the doctor.

Yah, my second is coming in June. When they become independent, it's crazy.
