Had a little get together with the boys this past weekend in celebration of my buddy's recent marriage. It cut into my paintball time, but we still had fun.

Nothing at all wrong with that. I love camping (or Glamping). Any excuse to get away with a few friends and just be friends without distractions is great.

Car Camping is the way. Lots of cast iron, big tents, old Coleman lanterns and stoves. Easy, fun, good food, and a keg of homebrew. You did it right.Velcor will save us...

I thought Glamping is defined as having hot/cold running water, a working private toilet, a working private shower HVAC and comfy bed in a cabin or better. The minimums that my wife will accept to be out in the woods.

Everyone has their own opinions! I have spent a lot of time screwing around outside and getting dirt in my cracks, so having a cot/bed, rugged canvas tents that don't leak and foot pump hand washing water felt very ritzy to me. The wife and I do a "Woodsy Weekend" trip every May that is closer to what your wife calls glamping where we rent a fully furnished cabin and do it up that way, but IMO it's a far cry from camping.

Jonnydread, let me correct myself. I call it Glamping. My wife call a fully furnished cabin the minimum she will accept to be out in the woods and that is what I call Glamping. I am getting up there in age, so having some innovations like a human powered cleaning station, inflatable mattress/pad to elevate off the ground, and a well sealed tent does make things much better.
