    New Garden this year!

Still need another ten footer, but this is my raised “u” bed. The ground was tilled, I threw a light layer of wood chips and leaf mix, and I’ll be grabbing half topsoil half compost from the local yard.

pretty stoked to hopefully have some nice veggies. I also have some cannabis plants going inside and out.

    yay warmer weather!

Looking good! What kind of vegetables are you growing this year?

I like the idea of having a big garden, but we normally we only do a couple of tomato plants, and then our apple trees go crazy with zero input on our part.

Some will be in pots but I have 13 veggies - green beans, cukes, zucchini, melon, tomatoes, bell peppers, habenero, basil, spearmint, rosemary, beets, jalapeños and radish.

My mother will also be using it…, or at least taking some veggies from me haha.

Also have a couple cannabis - Lilac Diesel, 10th planet, skywalker and gmo x cookies.

Only 4 of those, the rest all veggies.

I'll be joining the club soon. I'm picking up materials to make 2 beds this year, and might expand next year to 2 more. I have to raise them quite a bit and fence them in, as I have so many rabbits and deer running around.

I got some started though. I used to grow other plants, so I happened to have this tent and light already. Never thought I'd be growing actual tomato plants in there. OG's will get that joke.

Got a good amount of veggies in the tent ready to transplant. Have a few projects going at once, but the garden will still happen! Getting dirt this week

Almost ready to start transplanting, just need a half yard of compost to finish up, and then clean up around it. Should have some in the ground this week hopefully, my mother said she’d help since I have a shit ton of babies to go through.

My native pollinator garden is on its third year, and my flowers are finally getting established. Prairie smoke was the first to flower this season.

My wife and I have been tenaciously attacking our landscaping this past 7 days.

I've been pulling hundreds of dandelion a day. I don't want to use chems since I have the pollinator garden. So it's been old school weeding.

Then my buddy called me. He told me he over ordered his mulch, and told me I could have as much as I wanted free.. I had to shovel it into my truck, then back out of my truck, but I saved a good chunk of cash. The timing of his call made for a grueling week.

A bunch of the pots aren't pictured, but we effectively got all of the dandelion in the front and side yards. Thr back yard is a work in progress as they re seeded. We planted 3 potted arrangements. We planted 3 in ground perennials. We planted 2 citronella plants in ground, but they will die. I moved all of the pavers under the patio there as they used to line the house. Then we mulched..

We are going to drop a few plants along the garage where it's a new mulch bed.

One more week and the garden will be planted here. Still to chilly at night. Over 100 hot peppers will be distributed to the garden and pots on the deck. Started seeds back in March ready to roll. Other plants picked up next week.

Lettuce is booming, peppers are coming along as well. We've been pulling leaves off of the lettuce every day for lunch.

Next year I want to switch how the boxes are and put them going the other direction. The box that is closer to the house is getting less sun and is lagging behind.
