    Bricks Video Gallery

Hey dudes. This will be a slow growing gallery of links to my youtube. I used to record my game play a ton, but I'd just watch the raw footage myself, and never upload it. I'm going to try to start making snips and videos as well as post my raw footage. and maybe I'll eventually refine my postings to be worth your subs.. not that I'm trying to get youtub famous.. Just hoping to get past the alrogithim as I swear a lot, so I'm sure Youtube will hide me naturally.

For my first trick. How to flank like a pro.

I've posted a few videos over the week, essentially milked the little bit of footage I could. I forgot about this little blooper though. Being the last game of the season, I was just burning off my random bags left over from other events, as I rarely get all the way through a case. This hopper was a mix of marbs (pink) and graffiti (blue) paint. that last graffitit said hell nah.

So, if anyone sees this. I'm after some feedback for my camera set up going forward.

My wife got me a go pro hero 3 black for Christmas.

Up to this point, Ive been making my play footage with a contour roam 3 mounted to the right side of my mask. This is a great Field of view as I enjoy seeing a piece of my lens in the frame. But it also makes left handed play junk, footage wise.

I then was barrel mounting my old roam 2 for barrel footage, but Ive proven to be too lazy to splice and edit the teo together thus far.

A big factor in that on that is though, is the fact that the roams can either record 1080 at 30fps or 720 at 60fps. Neither of which makes for good barrel cam footage. The 720 resolution is wide angle, and gains a fish eye effect which doesn't help you see the target. The roams make good helmet cam footage as they capture nice audio, and have a wide angled lens.

I figured Id make a camera mask. I started with olive spectra, and a yellow frame. I double strapped it for thr added weight of cameras. I sacraficed a left hard ear for another contour mount. Im thinking I can record both sides of my head on the contours. Then I will either rail or barrel mount my go pro for the slow mo shots when I manage to land a hit. I then fashioned this scrap chunk of chainmail for a chin guard. I want the hard spectra bottoms incase I decide to center mount my go pro on my mask, and give up on the contours all together. But they are also a bit small on me. It's not the coolest, but it'll do for now.

I figure, if I can get motivated to edit, I can switch from left and right camera angles depending on what side of the cover I play. This gives the viewer more to see as the camera will be the furthest point on my body as I snap shoot. Then drop to barrel for that ball flight.

I also am eyeballing the dango designs dirt bike clip mount. And I wonder if I can use that to clip a go proon the fly to a spectra bottom. Does anyone have any opinion on those as a mount option?? I figure that may also allow me to clamp to guns like my walz for footage..

What do you guys think of this 45 degree rail mount perspective? I could barrel mount also, but I feel seeing the pump action will add to the footage.

This is my current POV. It was centered more, but then if I use a hopper its all you see. I'll be trying this out this weekend, if the weather is decent enough to use it. I also bought a cheap waterproof case that I modified by removing the back, but it covers the lense and sensors. I also know the case withstands paintballs (thanks Jonnydread) I got a DJI Osmo Action 3, it auto flips the video since its mounted upside down. I think I'm running 4k 60fps, but I might go down since Youtube doesnt do 4k unless youre a big account, they usually downgrade it.The stabilization is unreal. My biggest gripe about watching anyone's gameplay is a bouncy cam. It just gives me a headache. You gotta run stabilization for the smoothest video possible. I run double straps on the JT to help with the added weight of the cam bouncing around while running. Where it is right now is just above my dominant eye, and hardly blocks any of my vision.

Good luck fighting the algorithm. We play a sport that most people dont understand, posting videos on a platform that is ever increasing its censorship.
