    Tippmann Pirate Guns

pretty cool! id rather have a G&H, chplnstone, or Walz creation but we should petition Tippy to make a paintball version of these

Saw these recently, looks like a novel range toy gun. I question why they went 380 vs 9mm and I am also curious what the price will be.

they said $799 in the vid.
i think its sort of obvious this thing is more fun over practical.
maybe thats why they went 380

      If I were to guess....

1st: lower pressure round. Smaller parts, less lock friction, slicker action, lower manufacturing cost. 380 is loaded to about 21k psi or less. 9x19 will be 34k.

2nd: Shorter overall cartridge length for a tube magazine. Shorter pump stroke. More rounds in the tube. 6 or 7 + 1 sounds a lot cooler than 4 or 5 + 1.

380 and 32 ACP seem like the 2 most likely choices for this application.

I missed the pricing, not as bad as I thought then. At least around me, 380 is more expensive than 9.

the more fun, less practical things are usually like that.
