    Azodin tinkering?.

So I have a 2011 Kaos pump that I have been messing with. Fun little shooter for sure and though I prefer my SL68II for pump play I tend to use the Kaos more.

I been wondering if it be possible to covert it from pump to blowback semi purely for something to do.

I know going from semi to pump is harder as the body milling and such but not seeing what would prevent going pump to semi.

Have no use for another semi shooter just got to thinking about a fun simple project to try.

I think it should be as simple as replacing the hammer, valve and front block.

Considering the Kaos was also made as a semi, I'd gather it won't be difficult. The single trigger frame would be nice.

That’s what I was thinking. Should just be a lowers swap. Just can’t run the zero system as there’s no threads in the body.

Mines running a CP reg, the single trigger frame, CP rail mount on/off ASA, a empire (I think can’t remember) clamping feed neck and a 14” freak one piece barrel. I do have a auto trigger kit coming for it that will complete the build for my main pump use. But thought I could pick up a valve and striker as well and could have one gun that can run as a semi or a pump kinda like a poor mans autococker.

Of course realistically I would never actually use it as a semi as I have other markers I prefer in that roll but as a proof of concept it could be fun to try.

Also I thinking technically, could I not just use the pump front block and just take off the pump sled and rod? Making it a kinda sleeper as the pump handle would just be there not connected to anything.

Be good for a few laughs I’d think.

Of course I guess then nothing would hold that pump handle on so the wouldn’t really work. Wonder if the blow back would have enuff to overcome the pump spring if all left attached or even work if I pulled the pump spring.

IIRC, azodin was told someone to change out the valve body in a KP with the one from a standard Kaos if they wanted to run unregulated air/CO2; so I'd say you can do this with confidence.

If you have any concerns, reach out to Azodin. I had some questions about their bolt measurements, and they did eventually get back to me (they did have some measurements that varied quite a bit though).

How about pneu-assist? Blowback hammer with the pump handle.
